The 7th bowl judgement, and the return of the Messiah to set up His earthly reign.

Revelations 16:17-20 (CJB) – The seventh one (angel) poured out his bowl on the air, and a loud voice came out of the Temple from the throne, saying, “It is done!”  There were flashes of lightning, voices and peals of thunder; and there was a massive earthquake, such as has never occurred since mankind has been earth, so violent was the earthquake.  The great city was split into three parts, the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Bavel the Great (Babylon) and made her drink the wine from the cup of his raging fury.  Every Island fled, and no mountains were to be found.

Isaiah 24:19-23 (CJB) – The earth cracks and breaks open, the earth crumbles to pieces, the earth trembles and totters.  The earth staggers to and fro like a drunk, sways back and forth like a watchman’s shelter; its transgression weighs heavy upon it; it will fall and not rise again.  When that day comes, ADONAI will punish the armies of the high heaven on high, and the kings of the earth here on earth.  They will be assembled like prisoners in a dungeon and shut up in prison to be punished many years.  Then the moon will be confused and the sun ashamed, for ADONAI-Tzva’ot (the LORD of hosts) will rule on Mount Tziyon (Zion) and in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), with his glory manifest to the rulers of his people.

Zechariah 14:3-4, 9-11  (CJB) – Then ADONAI will go out and fight against those nations, fighting as on a day of battle.  On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which lies to the east of Yerushalayim; and the Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, to make a huge valley.  Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south….  Then ADONAI will be king over the whole world.  On that day ADONAI will be the only one, and his  name will be the only name.  All the land will be made like the ‘Aravah (a plain), from Geva to Rimmon in the Negev.  Yerushalayim will be raised up and inhabited where she is, from Binyamin’s (Benjamin’s) Gate to the place where the earlier gate stood, and on to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hanan’el to the kings’s winepresses.  People will live there, the curse will be broken, and Yerushalayim will live in safety.

Isaiah 40:3-5 (NIV) –  A voice of one calling:  “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.  Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.  And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together.  For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

On the day Messiah returns, when the final judgement is poured out on the earth, there will be a massive worldwide earthquake.  Revelations says it will be unlike any other earthquake ever experienced by man.  The islands will be swallowed up, the mountains will crumble and the earth will become a plain, except for Jerusalem, God’s holy hill, from where Jesus will reign as king for 1,000 years.  The earth will be returned to pre-flood condition.  During His reign, nothing will stand between us and Him.  No island will be cut off, because they will no longer exist.  No ocean will stand in our way.  And no mountain will need to be climbed in order to get to Jesus.  He will be there, high and lifted up.  What will stand between us?  Nothing.

Nothing.
